Instructions to authors

We are delighted to announce that once again the Proceedings of the 8th PEACe conference will be published in Molecular Biotechnology and thank Humana Press and Prof John Walker for agreeing to this.

We encourage you all to submit papers to be published in the proceedings. All manuscripts will be subjected to peer review and submission does not guarantee publication.

There are 3 types of manuscript which will be considered; research papers, mini reviews, and short communications.

Each type of manuscript will be limited to the following number of JOURNAL pages (not A4 manuscript pages). In order to judge how many words/figures this is, please refer to a sample article from Molecular Biotechnology which can be found at the following website
http://www.humanapress.com
The maximum lengths are as follows;

1. Research papers; maximum of 8 journal pages (authors to judge on basis of instructions on Molecular Biotech instructions to authors)
2. Mini Reviews; maximum of 8 journal pages.
3. Short communications; max of 4 journal pages and no more than 3 figures .

Instructions to authors can also be found at the above website. Short Communications should follow the same outline as full research papers. DO NOT submit your completed manuscript on line or send them in the post as in the instructions to authors. Please submit all completed manuscripts to myself at this email address (c.m.smales@kent.ac.uk) (attach manuscript file and figures) and I will then organise for these to get into the system for this special issue.

We would like all manuscripts to be submitted by the conference (September 16th) and intend to have the proceedings published in Jan 2008.

We need to know now if you intend to submit a manuscript for publication in the proceedings. If so, please email Mark Smales on c.m.smales@kent.ac.uk and state which type of manuscript you would like to submit.

We look forward to receiving our contributions. Please do not hessitate to contact me if you require further information.

Regards,

Mark
